Gabriel Project®
The Gabriel Project®
is a movement started in Houston-Galveston Diocese of Texas. The Gabriel Project®
founded here at Our Lady of Victory by Fr. Floyd "Jerry" Bleaux was the
first in the Diocese of Ogdensburg. The aim of the Gabriel Project®
is to help women in crisis
pregnancies. The volunteer members of this project see in the birth of
each baby a fresh expression of God's unfailing love. We offer immediate
and practical help to any woman faced with a crisis pregnancy.
The Gabriel Project® provides practical help to women who might otherwise
not choose life for their unborn babes. The project is simple: our
church and
volunteers support a mother through her pregnancy by prayer, compassion,
friendship, encouragement and referrals to other church and community
resources. Through donations and the Respect Life Grant we apply for
each year from the Diocese of Ogdensburg, we
are able to keep mothers supplied with such things as pack-n-plays,
cribs (when available), diapers,
baby wipes, baby clothes, etc.
How YOU can help:
We are in need of any baby necessities: (in new condition only) cribs, high chairs, strollers, diapers, baby wipes, baby clothes, etc.
You can PRAY for all the families being helped by the parish.
You can make monetary donations. Cash gifts are accepted, or make checks out to Gabriel Project, Our Lady of Victory Church.
We need women to serve as "Gabriel Angels" to pregnant mothers and mothers who have already given birth. For more information about the role of a "Gabriel Angel", contact our Coordinator.
